WATCH TODAY’S SERVICE

This week is the sixth Sunday of Easter and Mother’s Day. Our focus in worship is the Holy Spirit, and our scripture passage is the ending of a long story in the book of Acts when the Holy Spirit falls on the Gentiles. In one sense, this story is about inclusivity. God’s love and grace are available to all people. All people are welcome into the church. But what we also see in this story is how the Gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit is a surprise and a drastic change for the apostle Peter and the early church. In worship, we will acknowledge, recognize, and pray for all mothers. We will also explore the mysterious and active Holy Spirit and what this might mean for us and for our church today. Join us for worship now. All are welcome! – Peace, Rev. Stephen Coleman
