WATCH TODAY’S SERVICE

This past Wednesday, we gathered for our Evensong service in the garden at Reveille. The weather was beautiful with a gentle breeze. Many of the dogwood blooms had fallen onto the grass and offered a beautiful carpet for us to sit on during the service. We gathered in worship and celebrated the goodness of God, while surrounded by natural beauty, with gentle singing and music.

It was a simple reminder of how good our God is. In the laughter and the conversations through the masks, we all celebrated a chance to see each other (almost) face to face. It was also a reminder that even during a pandemic, God still has a way of making “all things new.”

Today in worship, we are going to remember that basic truth through the familiar story of Zacchaeus. This “wee little man” climbed a tree to get a look at Jesus and got even more than he bargained for. A man who was despised and rejected found new life which spread to all around him, simply because Jesus had dinner with him.

All of us are looking for that new life, whether it be in the garden or climbing out of a pandemic. Come join us for worship and let’s look more into this new life that Jesus still offers. – In Christ, Rev. Dr. Pete Moon
