WATCH TODAY’S SERVICE
This week, as we have prepared for worship, I have been thinking about a special memory. Just two months ago, we had our Drive-Through Nativity here at Reveille on Christmas Eve. We had expected a few folks to show up but ended up with several hundred. I had the privilege of being at the end of the line, handing out candles, and inviting folks to our Christmas Eve services. My favorite part was that I actually got to see real folks after months of speaking on screens! Every once in a while during the drive through, guests would briefly pull down their mask while in their car and show a beautiful smile. It was so nice to see real people face to face, even briefly, after so much virtual communication.
This weekend, we find God doing a similar thing with Abraham and with us. After chapters of very big occurrences like creation and floods, God introduces himself to Abraham and of course to us. Dare we say the mask is pulled down just a bit, and we receive a powerful, loving, and even personal vision of our God. All of us need to be refreshed and reminded of the goodness of our God and this conversation with Abraham offers exactly that. Please join us for worship now! – In Christ, Pastor Pete
