TODAY’S SERMON

Sometimes we hear a scripture so often we dismiss the shocking nature of what it says. We are all used to being named the salt of the earth and the light of the world but have you ever thought about what that means? In a nutshell, it means that we are supposed to bring flavor and hope to our world. We are supposed to be the light in the darkness. We are the ones to preserve the best of the culture around us.

I hope I am not the only one who finds these words intimidating when we hear them anew. We are the salt and light and as such we are God’s appointed means for changing the world through God’s grace. How (literally!) in the world do we do this? Let’s talk about this more in worship now. – In Christ, Lead Pastor Rev. Dr. Pete Moon

CELEBRATION SUNDAY

This Sunday is the conclusion of our Stewardship sermon series. During the service, Reveille member Laura Lay will speak about the ways Reveille makes a difference in our lives and the ways we make a difference together through our giving. Every day, we are in ministry in our RVA community. Individual financial contributions have allowed our church to do this work of God during this unprecedented season.
