WATCH TODAY’S SERVICE
This week, our Director of Music and Worship, Daniel Banke, our Director of Youth Ministries, Andy Glascott, and I were together in the sanctuary, working with several of our young people as they recorded this Youth Sunday worship service.
We were all amazed. As we listened to our young people preach their sermons, I was reminded of the importance of what we do. We have incredibly gifted teens in our midst. They think deeply, they communicate so well, and most importantly, they have learned the faith here at Reveille. When we survey the talent in this group, it is clear that many, if not all of them, will be future leaders. My prayer is that they will lead the church, but certainly, no matter where they land, they will lead in whatever venture God takes them.
Sometimes we forget that about our youth. While they are certainly a key part of our church right now, they are also incredibly gifted young men and women who will be influencing our culture and world for decades to come.
At the same time, let me just say how much fun it is to work with them. In all the conversation we must not forget to celebrate the joy and laughter that is so inherent to who they are. All this is to say that you really do not want to miss this worship service. I pray that as you see them sing, laugh, pray, speak, and preach, that you will see what we saw earlier this week. It is humbling to serve with such gifted youth who not only fill a room with laughter and joy, but who will also be key leaders of the next generation. I look forward to being with you and our youth in worship today! – In Christ, Rev. Dr. Pete Moon
