HELPING RICHMONDERS IN NEED

Richmond Friends of the Homeless is a private nonprofit partner devoted to making a difference in the lives of the less advantaged in Richmond. More than 1,500 meals are served each week at three locations around Richmond. Reveille volunteers provide meals and prayerful support for up to 200 people twice each month, through 4th Sunday bagged lunches packaged in the welcome center and 4th Thursday hot meals provided by Reveille members.

FOURTH THURSDAYS | MIDDAY BAGGED LUNCHES

On the fourth Thursday of each month, Reveille assembles meals for 170 people to take to Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on North First Street. Meals will resume in January 2025.

Individuals or groups may assist by:

  • Preparing a hash brown casserole
  • Purchasing rolls, desserts, or bottled waters
  • Heating up food on fourth Thursdays before it is delivered
  • Picking up fried chicken
  • Serving the meal
  • Giving financial support
