Building Walls to Take Down Walls Richmond Habitat Project

Volunteer spots are available to help build at the homesite!

Volunteer slots at the Habitat homesite are available Wednesday-Saturday each week through April! You can select an open spot or join the waiting list for a specific date (you will receive an email if the spot opens up). Volunteers have finished the drywall and will start painting, installing flooring, and working on exterior finishing touches. There’s still more work to be done, so sign up below!

Register for volunteer dates through April!

Want to help but need more flexibility in days and hours?

Richmond Habitat also has great volunteer opportunities at their ReStore locations, in their office, at local events, and more! These shifts are shorter and often indoors. First, register as a volunteer, then check their Opportunities page: https://richmondhabitat.galaxydigital.com/need/

Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of affordable housing in our community. Read our weekly emails, follow us on social media @reveillechurch, and visit this page to view the progress of the build.

Understanding Housing Instability in RVA

Thank you to Kelley King Horne, executive director of Homeward, for offering a program on housing instability and homelessness in Richmond. As we are “Building Walls to Take Down Walls,” it is important to understand the barriers to housing that neighbors in the Richmond community are facing.
