Time: 9:00 am-noon, July 15-18, 2024

Location: 4200 Cary Street Road, Richmond, VA 23221

Ages: 4 years old to rising second grade

Cost: $20 per child

Time: 9:00 am-noon, Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18, 2024
On Thursday, July 18, at noon, we will hold an end-of-VBS celebration in the fellowship hall, followed by a picnic on the quad.

Theme: Camp Firelight: A Summer Camp Adventure with God
Whenever I’m afraid, I put my trust in you. – Psalm 56:3

Schedule: The daily schedule includes rotations between a Bible story, craft, recreation, science/sensory, music, and snack station.

Description: Your child is invited to join Camp Counselors Sam and Lu for a summer adventure at Camp Firelight. During our daily assemblies, your child will learn to face their fears while trusting in God. They will see Sam face new challenges, from as simple as leading campers on a hike, to as intimidating as meeting a new and wise nature expert. With the help of Lu, the lightning bug, and the camp counselor guidebook, Sam and the campers explore timeless Bible stories showing how Old and New Testament Bible figures trusted God, faced their fears, and went on to do great things in God’s name.

As the campers experience the stories through music, drama, storytelling, games, arts, crafts, science, and even snacks, they learn ways to connect with and trust God. And best of all, they understand they can connect with God at VBS, church, home, and in every area of their lives. This VBS program from Cokesbury Kids invites children on an exciting journey where they learn to trust God no matter what situation life brings, know God is always with them, and feel confident in sharing the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.
