Worship at Reveille

What can I expect when I worship at Reveille United Methodist Church?

Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or looking for a place to grow, you'll find a warm welcome at Reveille United Methodist Church. We offer three Sunday worship services—two traditional and one contemporary —so you can worship in a style that feels most meaningful to you. Each service features inspiring music, with choirs, soloists, and talented musicians. Most importantly, you'll hear Biblically grounded sermons that connect God's word to everyday life, offering practical encouragement, hope, and guidance for your daily walk of faith. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to come as you are and experience worship with us.

Worship Service, October 4, 2026
Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow"
Sermon Week 4: “From Holy Spirit to Holy Hands”
Scripture: James 2:14-26
Rev. Dr. Peter Moon

In this service, we will be reminded that the flow of the Holy Spirit is not intended to be stopped in us. The point is for the work of the Spirit to flow through us and beyond us. This occurs, as we will discuss this week, through “the work of our hands” (Psalm 90). We all receive gifts for the purpose of building up the body and equipping the body to reach out beyond the world. To paraphrase the words of James, "when we keep it all to ourselves, our faith becomes dead." The sermon will encourage us all to discern the gifts we have, and to put them to work in the ongoing flow of the Spirit.

Worship Service, September 27, 2026
Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow"
Sermon Week 3: “A River Runs Through It…Me…Us”
Scripture: Acts 2:42-47
Rev. Dr. Peter Moon

The Holy Spirit does run through the world, and the Spirit does flow through me. This week, we will be reminded that the Spirit, perhaps even more, runs through us. We are a communal people, and that community is mostly explicitly seen in our gathered worship and small groups. We are formed in the image of the Trinity. The sermon will highlight the priority of corporate worship and will invite us to a renewed understanding of the priority of our relationships. The me I want to be is good with others.

Worship Service, September 20, 2026
Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow"
Sermon Week 2: “Uncaged Prayer"
Scripture: Luke 11:1-13
Rev. Dr. Peter Moon

Setting aside time for the discipline of prayer can be hard. Lots of things come up to stop the flow of our prayer life. That was the case for Daniel. He prayed anyway. Jesus teaches us, through the Lord’s Prayer, how to pray and gives us a vision of the kingdom of God in our prayer life that can inspire a renewed passion for the possibilities and hope within a devout prayer life. The sermon will seek to inspire and encourage a deeper and more disciplined prayer life as we vow to serve our church and Lord through our “prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.”
