The Chancel Choir collaborated with local orchestral musicians to perform the Mass in Time of War (“Paukenmesse”) by Joseph Haydn on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Featured performers included Keely Borland (soprano), Brittany Brooks (mezzo-soprano), Aaron Todd (tenor), Aiden Collawn (bass-baritone), and Lamon Lawhorn (timpani). The Reveille Ringers also performed “Festival Sanctus” by Cathy Moklebust as part of this Lenten concert. In June, our Chancel Choir will be joining other choirs to sing Mass in Time of War at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Julie Yu, courtesy of National Concerts.
This year’s Lenten Mission Concert supported UMCOR’s U.S. Disaster Response and Recovery, including recovery efforts for the recent California fires. It’s not too late to make your donation here.
