NEW SUNDAY CLASSES
Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating
Sundays, February 23-March 16, 4:00-5:30 pm, Reveille House Dining Room, Leader: Matt Gooch
This four-week study of Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating by Norman Wirzba will explore the spiritual significance of food and its role in connecting us to God, creation, and one another. We will consider how our faith can inspire a more joyful relationship with food. The final week of this study will be a potluck meal. Register | Purchase class book
Bio for Class Leader, Matt Gooch: Matt stumbled into Reveille ten years ago as a nonchurch-goer while trying to date Pastor Katie Gooch. Fast forward, he became a member in 2023. He and Katie have three lovely well-behaved children. Before having kids, Matt had several hobbies. Professionally, Matt is a renewable energy attorney in private practice. He believes that God cares passionately about what we do in this world and what we put in our bodies.
A Disciple’s Path Class
Sundays, February 23-April 6, 4:00-5:30 pm, Room 209, Leader: Rev. Stephen Coleman
Prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness…this is what we commit to when we become members of The United Methodist Church, and it’s a big step. But A Disciple’s Path by Justin LaRosa and James Harnish helps us look beyond membership, presenting an engaging approach to discipleship from a distinctly Wesleyan perspective. This six-week study will help you develop spiritual practices, discover your unique gifts, and engage in ministry that brings transformation to your own life and to the lives of others and the world.
