Saving Grace: A Guide to Financial Well-Being

Begin the new year by exploring money management from a Christian perspective. This class will help you address financial concerns and create a healthy relationship with money and possessions. Bio for Class Leader, Jill Gaynor: Jill has been a member of Reveille for 25 years. She has enjoyed serving in a variety of roles over time, including as a Church Council member, Bible study leader, CrossPoint singer, and chair of the Swansboro ministry. Professionally, Jill worked in corporate marketing and nonprofit fundraising before taking early retirement last year. Personal finance is one of her passions. Jill co-teaches the Saving Grace class for the Virginia Conference, and she’s excited to help bring the class to Reveille.
The Discipleship Journey – A Unique Perspective

Have you ever wondered how the Parables fit into our discipleship journey? Join this new small group study of Parables From the Back Side – Bible Stories with a Twist by J. Ellsworth Kalas. Bio for Class Leader, Bill Bosta: Bill is married to Gail Bosta with two children and four grandchildren. He is retired from working in the utility industry in the regulatory strategy. Bill and Gail have been members of Reveille since 2009, following a move back to Virginia from Lexington, Kentucky. Bill’s interest in small group ministry is rooted in helping and encouraging people in their own discipleship journey through service and relationship building. Outside of church, Bill is an avid sports fan, especially Cleveland Guardians baseball and Virginia Tech athletics. He also enjoys traveling and reading.
Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating

This four-week study of Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating by Norman Wirzba will explore the spiritual significance of food and its role in connecting us to God, creation, and one another. We will consider how our faith can inspire a more joyful relationship with food. The final week of this study will be a potluck meal. Register | Purchase class book
Bio for Class Leader, Matt Gooch: Matt stumbled in Reveille ten years ago as a nonchurch-goer while trying to date Pastor Katie Gooch. Fast forward, he became a member in 2023. He and Katie have three lovely well-behaved children. Before having kids, Matt had several hobbies. Professionally, Matt is a renewable energy attorney in private practice. He believes that God cares passionately about what we do in this world and what we put in our bodies.

Vibrant Life Ministries is an inclusive and welcoming faith-centered community for young adults that is a safe space for all. Their mission is to foster spiritual growth and meaningful connections by embarking on a journey of self-discovery, empowering individuals to model their everyday lives as Christian disciples, and building a strong community where people can confidently explore their identities and find a place in the community and the world. Women’s Book Group
All women are invited to join the group in reading and discussing the books of fiction and nonfiction. The Women’s Book Group meets September-May on the second Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm. Details
United Women in Faith
Our women’s circles meet monthly to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship, and education so that they can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities. Learn more
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Start your week off on Monday mornings with breakfast, fellowship, prayer, and devotions. Men of all ages are invited to be part of the group which meets in the fellowship hall, 7:00-8:00 am, every Monday. For more information, contact Jim Tucker.
Join Our Walking Group Wednesdays (resumes January 8)
Our weekly walking group meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 am in the rear parking lot to enjoy fellowship while walking through the community around Reveille. It’s a great way to start a fitness routine! To join the group, contact Rev. Stephen Coleman.
Faithful Friends Cancer Group, Fourth Mondays
Reveille’s cancer support group is open to those diagnosed with cancer, those undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and cancer caregivers. The group will provide spiritual support, resources, and educational opportunities through monthly meetings. Join us on Zoom Monday, December 30, at 6:00 pm.
