Women of Spirit – Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity
Register for the Class

  • Dates: Wednesdays, January 14-February 4, 10:00-11:30 am, Virtual on Zoom
  • Description: The Women of Spirit invite you to join their study of Enough: Discovering Joy through Simplicity and Generosity by Adam Hamilton. Money has great power in our lives. Used wisely, it is one key to accomplishing our goals, providing for our needs, and fulfilling our life purpose. In recent years, many of us ignored the wisdom of the past when it came to managing and spending our money. Credit card debt soared, savings rates plummeted, and our home equity became something to be tapped into and spent rather than a source of security in retirement. We felt an insatiable desire for more. And we found ourselves spending tomorrow’s money today in order to have what we hoped would satisfy. The result of all of this was not greater happiness and satisfaction, but greater stress and anxiety. Enough is an invitation to rediscover the Bible’s wisdom when it comes to prudent financial practices and find the keys to experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy through simplicity and generosity. This book could change your life, by changing your relationship with money.
  • Leader: Members of this women’s group take turns leading studies, September-May. The group welcomes members from across the country due to its online format.
  • Materials: Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity, Available on Amazon

Palm Sunday to Easter – and Beyond
Register for the Class

  • Dates: Wednesdays, January 14-March 25, 6:00-7:00 pm, church parlor at Reveille
  • Description: As we look forward to Lent, Palm Sunday, and Easter, we will examine the events described in the Gospels (mostly from Mark) during the period of Palm Sunday through Easter – and a bit beyond. This includes Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Thursday evening’s “Last Supper,” the Trials and Crucifixion of Jesus, and His Resurrection. Through this study, we will look at the divine nature of Jesus, His last teachings before His death, and the great significance of Jesus’ resurrection. Finally, we will discuss the importance of all these events and teachings for us today.
  • Leader: Gary Mears is a retired Presbyterian Pastor (PC-USA) who recently joined Reveille. Gary felt a call to the ministry after a 25+ year career as a business executive in the Washington, DC area. He attended Wesley Theological Seminary and has served both as a new church planter and as the pastor of an existing church. He loves to study and talk about God’s messages for us, as revealed through Biblical text.
