  • Women of Spirit Advent Study
All women are invited to participate in reading and discussing The Gift of the Nutcracker by Matt Rawle during Advent. This book explores The Nutcracker story to help us understand God’s greatest gift of the Christ child, and the kingdom Christ came to establish. The group will meet Wednesdays on Zoom, 10:00-11:30 am, November 19, December 3, 10, and 17. Register
  • Advent Wreath Celebration
You are invited to this all-ages program with Karen Rios. You will learn about the history of Advent wreaths, and then you can make a wreath to take home. There will also be a pizza dinner and music with Daniel Banke! The program takes place, 5:30-6:30 pm, in Reveille’s fellowship hall. RSVP in advance to attend and purchase your Advent wreath kit ($25 each).

Advent Sermon Series: “A Light Has Dawned: Seeking the Hidden Meaning of Christmas,” November 30-December 24
The series will gather around the assumption that our culture has become increasingly secular and the message of Christmas is increasingly hidden. This series will seek to highlight and put forth the “glad tidings of great joy” that are drowned out in the growing volume of secular and commercial messaging, with the hope that there is new messaging and Advent life in store for all of us, no matter where we are in our relationship with the newborn child.

Reveille Ringers at VMFA, December 5
Enjoy an evening of Christmas music by our Reveille Ringers on Friday, December 5, with free performances at 6:00 and 7:00 pm at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the Cochrane Atrium. If you can’t attend either performance, the Ringers invite you to their dress rehearsal on December 1 at 8:15 pm in the youth center. To reserve your seat at the rehearsal, email Daniel Banke.
