September 26 | No Meal or Worship Service
Please attend the Virginia Conference’s A Way Forward: a Q&A event with Bishop Sharma D. Lewis, the Rev. Tom Berlin, and Ms. Martha Stokes in the sanctuary, 7:00-9:00 pm.  There will be no meal or worship service due to this special event. No registration is required.

Learn more about the plans regarding LGBTQ inclusion in the United Methodist Church that were presented by the Commission on a Way Forward to the Council of Bishops. Have your questions answered by Virginia’s bishop, Sharma D. Lewis, and Tom Berlin, a member of the Commission on a Way Forward and lead pastor of Floris UMC in Herndon, Virginia.

Volunteers are needed to serve as greeters. For more information, contact Terri Edwards, admindirector@reveilleumc.org or (804) 359-6041, ext. 116.

Starting October 3, our Wednesday night worship experience is being redesigned as a service of evensong, which will loosely follow the Anglican service of the same name. These thematic services will sometimes include preaching, but will also include other forms of prayer and reflection, Lectio Divina, and of course, opportunities to receive Holy Communion. This intimate worship service will be a time of peaceful contemplation, song, prayer, and renewal. Prior to the service each night, a meal will be offered 5:30-6:30 pm in the fellowship hall.

October | “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”

October 3-24, learn why love is the key to understanding United Methodist theology. On October 31, experience an All Souls Service in The Garth. More information coming soon.

Reveille UMC is located a few blocks
west of Carytown

Opportunities to Serve
Musicians
The Wednesday evening service offers a unique opportunity for musicians of all ages and types to participate in worship. You can use your musical gifts to work with the preacher for the week to create a distinctive worship experience. Whether you are an instrumentalist or vocal musician, we encourage you to consider leading music at Wednesday evening worship.  If you are interested, please contact Daniel Banke.
