A Way Forward Toolkit

Reveille UMC

You are invited to join us for the Way Forward Town Hall on Sunday, February 17, at 12:15 pm in the chapel.

From the Lead Pastor: A Letter About the Toolkit
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I pray you are well. Thank you for visiting this webpage. On it, you will find a toolkit that was created to help our congregation navigate the uncertain terrain of our denomination's dialogue around LGBTQ inclusion in the United Methodist Church.

This toolkit was created as a collaborative effort by a task force convened at Reveille whose mandate was to talk about how we as a congregation can best facilitate discussion around these important and sensitive issues. It is our earnest prayer that this document is a helpful, centralized resource for those seeking information, opportunities for reflection, and/or ways to get involved with this process going forward. We believe we have accomplished this goal.

If you are visiting this webpage and you are a member of another United Methodist congregation, we hope that this document is useful to you as well, and that it blesses your church as you facilitate holy conversations in the months to come.

To my Reveille friends, I want to say as your pastor that I understand that there are people who love Christ and his church on all sides of this important issue, and that your church's clergy leadership is available to you as we sojourn into God's future for our life together. Please let us know how we can bless you with conversation, prayer, and support in our common faith and life, and our mutual task to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Tell of God's mercy each day." 1 Chronicles 16:23
