Director of Reveille Weekday School

We are seeking a full-time Director to oversee the operation and administration of the Reveille Weekday School. The school, Virginia Quality rated and licensed by the Virginia Department of Education, serves children ages 12 months through junior kindergarten in a half-day early childhood setting. The Director is responsible for daily operations of the Reveille Weekday School during the nine-month school year and, during summer break, for summer camp and preparations for the upcoming school year.

The Director is a staff member of Reveille United Methodist Church and works closely with other church staff to plan and coordinate ministry, communications, and use of facilities. The Director is assisted in the management of the school by the Weekday Programs Board, composed of parents, congregation members, and church staff.

A minimum of two years of experience in early childhood education is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred. A passion for the care and education of children, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to relate well to all ages, and excellent communications skills are essential. Successful candidates will have good organizational and leadership skills and be of good Christian character. A background check is required prior to hire.

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, generous paid time off, 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 6% match, and continuing education for professional development.

Childcare Worker (part time)

Reveille is seeking a part-time childcare provider. The position is typically no more than 8 hours per week. During the school year, hours are available on Sunday mornings and evenings. During the summer, hours are available Sunday mornings. Must be available to work holidays, and, of course, must love working with children.

A successful background check required prior to hire. All childcare workers are required to provide documentation of a current negative tuberculosis test. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required (training will be provided if needed).
