GIVE NOW OR MAKE A PAYMENT
- Make a one-time gift, set up a recurring donation, or make a payment.
- Recurring donations help you to make giving a regular priority and provide much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
- Please consider using direct debit from your checking or savings account. Lower processing fees mean more funds available for ministry!
Thank you for your generous support of the work God does through Reveille.
Our mission and ministry would not be possible without your contributions.
TAX WISE GIVING
A gift of appreciated assets – stocks, bonds, or mutual fund that have gained in value – is a win-win situation. When you give stock directly to the church, you receive a tax deduction for the current market value and avoid paying capital gains tax. These securities may be donated directly or used in planned gifts (like charitable trusts or charitable gift annuities). In terms of tax benefits, it is often better to give appreciated assets rather than cash.
QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION FROM AN IRA
If you are age 70½ or older, you may make tax-free gifts totaling up to $100,000 per year directly to a qualified charity from a traditional or Roth IRA. The amount given will count toward your annual Required Minimum Distribution but will not be considered income to you.
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
A donor advised fund can ensure you have sufficient deductions to be able to itemize in a tax year. By establishing and making a contribution to a donor advised fund this year, you can take the maximum tax deduction the IRS allows for this year, even though the distributions from your fund to Reveille and other charities may not be made until next year or later.
You may wish to consider making charitable gifts as part of your financial and estate plans. There are many options for this type of giving including bequests made through a will, giving the proceeds of a life insurance policy, and gifts or retirement plan remainders.
Learn more about these and other ways to make charitable gifts in our Your Guide to Effective Giving after Tax Reform booklet. For your copy, contact the financial administrator Scott Reams, email@example.com, or (804) 359-6041, ext. 118.
