Adult Choirs

Reveille UMC
Music is an important part of our worship experience, and as adults, we can continue to offer our gifts and talents to praise God.  Reveille's adult choirs are open to anyone over the age of 18.

Chancel Choir
Rehearsal: Thursdays, 7:00 pm
Director: Cathy Armistead   Accompanist: Susan Bullock
This adult choir sings at the 11:00 am service, as well as at occasional special concerts and programs. A diverse repertoire from the best of many styles and time periods is maintained. Although not required, previous choral experience is an asset. Several short-term and part-time participation opportunities are available, including the Fall Choir Festival, the Christmas Open House Concert, Easter Sunday, and the Spring Concert. 

Reveille Ringers Handbell Choir
Rehearsal: Mondays, 7:00 pm
Director:  Cathy Armistead
This adult handbell choir offers music at worship services each month, and annually at the Reveille Christmas Open House and the Mission Benefit Concert in the spring. The Reveille Ringers attend yearly handbell festivals led by nationally renowned clinicians and play at local retirement communities. Music-reading proficiency and previous handbell experience are required. Regular attendance is a must.

A Cappella Ensemble
Rehearsal: As needed
Director:  Cathy Armistead  
This auditioned ensemble sings a broad range of a cappella music. Audition requirements include music-reading skill and ability to blend vocally and sing straight tones. The group sings for concerts and worship services.

CrossPoint Praise Band
Rehearsal: Thursdays, 7:30 pm
Director: Kaarina Jobe
CrossPoint provides music and worship leadership at The Point, Reveille's multimedia service, Sundays at 9:30 am in the fellowship hall. Participants who wish to sing or play an instrument are always welcome. 

Instrumentalists
Rehearsal: As needed
Director:  Cathy Armistead  
Those who play instruments may offer their talents as they participate in worship and other programs. Whether you play piano, organ, guitar, or a wind, brass, rhythm, or string instrument, the Music Ministry would be delighted to know of your skills.

Opportunities for Instrumentalists:
The Point Praise Band
The Point Praise band is in need of guitarists (bass or acoustic) and a drummer for the Sunday 9:30 am worship service in the fellowship hall.
