Sunday school classes for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) meet each Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  The classes meet in the youth rooms on the second floor of the education building. Every other Wednesday, senior highs can meet for dinner and discussion of a Biblical theme. We meet at 6:00 p.m. at Tricia Amberly's house (1516 Westbury Dr., Richmond). Click here for a map of the area.

Each year, Reveille offers confirmation class for eighth graders who are interested in joining the church.  (Opportunities for older youth are created as needed.)  Confirmation is a time that combines education about the church with spiritual formation.  It is an active learning experience that uses regular meetings, opening and closing retreats, alternative worship services, mentoring, and conversations with parents as part of comprehensive faith exploration. The classes begin in the fall and meet monthly through the spring, from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 noon.  For more information, see the confirmation class page under Teaching & Learning.

 

Reveille periodically offers a workshop on Christian human sexuality education for youth and their parents.  The United Methodist curriculum is a church-based approach aimed at increasing family communication around issues of sexuality.  The workshop facilitator is certified through the Annual Conference and is assisted by Reveille leaders.
