The Church Council is Reveille’s governing body for programmatic and administrative matters. Members of the Church Council and their areas of responsibility are listed in this brochure. This group, which meets monthly, oversees the ministries of the church and guides Reveille’s mission and vision.
Leaders of the following ministry areas and committees constitute the Church Council:
Chair
Jonathan Brabrand
The chair coordinates the Church Council, brings together the leaders of the church's various committees and boards, and ensures program and activities are consistent with the church's mission.
Lay Leader
Dick Davis
The lay leader is the congregational counterpart to the pastoral leadership, acting as a spiritual leader of the congregation.
Board of Trustees Representative
David Simonsen
The trustees oversee Reveille’s facilities and endowment funds. They are the representatives of the church for civil legal purposes.
Finance
Bob Asplund
The Finance Committee oversees the administration of Reveille’s operating budget and other basic financial policies of the church.
Staff-Parish Relations
Nancy Williams
The Staff-Parish Relations Committee oversees all of Reveille’s professional staff, including clergy under appointment by the bishop.
Age-Level Ministries
Lori Salmon
The age-level ministries of the church work with others on Church Council to provide intergenerational and family ministries as well as ministries focused on specific age groups.
CommunicationsGlenda Lewis
The Communications Ministry Area supervises all of Reveille’s internal and external communications, including the website and The Reveille Window.
Congregational CareBrant Smith
The Congregational Care Ministry Area oversees the ways Reveille cares for its members. Ministries include homebound visitation and Stephen Ministry.
Leadership
Jill Gaynor
The Leadership Ministry Area is charged with encouraging all Reveille members to be better spiritual leaders through recognizing and using their spiritual gifts in ministry.
NurtureAbby Baker
The Nurture Ministry Area organizes the ministries at Reveille related to the spiritual health of the congregation. It encompasses all age levels and lifestyles.
Outreach

The Outreach Ministry Area coordinates the ways Reveille reaches out to the community and the world through service.
Stewardship
Steve Knockemus
The Stewardship ministry area plans and executes Reveille’s year-long, spiritually-focused stewardship program, emphasizing using many gifts to respond to God’s grace.
Teaching & Learning
Keith Thompson
The Teaching/Learning Ministry Area oversees the education ministries of the church. These include Sunday school, Disciple Bible Study, and other learning opportunities.
Witness
Barry Hodges
The Witness Ministries Area coordinates Reveille’s efforts to make itself known in the community and to welcome guests and new members.
WorshipClaire Kaugars
The Worship Ministry Area has responsibility for all ministries pertaining to Reveille’s worship life such as altar guild, music ministries, lay readers, and seasonal ministry teams.

The Council secretary takes minutes of the Council meetings and communicates with the congregation about Council action.
